Pacific Institute, an international organization headquartered in the San Francisco, is a fifteen year old, non-profit organization with over hundred of employees who provide a variety of educational programs, mental health products and services to its clients in USA and Europe. Income from educational and direct services, publications, grants and trade events topped $6 million last year. While the bulk of its clients and associates are today in the San Francisco area, its program in Europe is expanding its international reach.
Since its foundation in 1992, Pacific Institute has been a public service organization, dedicated to finding new ways of learning and teaching in counseling, education, and research in the public health and social services field.
Because of the uniqueness and importance of its services and offerings, the City of San Francisco has offered substantial support to the Pacific Institute by helping with the creation of our Awakenings Institute of mental wellness. A natural outgrowth of Pacific Institute has been the establishment of AgeSong Institute of Elder wellness, the Awakenings Institute of Mental Wellness, the Pacific Institute Academia, and the Elders Academy Press.
